Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition

I received my pre-order for Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition today, which includes every update through Spec 2.0 right on the disc and a voucher for five items of downloadable content. I wanted to buy the original Collector's Edition, but I just bought a new car and need to watch how I spend my money. But I digress...

The game recommends (more like requires) you to install the base system and content to your PS3 HDD. I wasn't against it, because it would cut down on the long load-times the PS3 is famous for. This process took about 50 minutes to complete.

Flu Season

It's been a warm December, but it's looking like that's changing real quick. Winds are picking up, temperatures are dropping, snow is imminent (global warming is really pushing it this season).

Winter is dreary. It's dark, it's slushy, and worst of all, everyone gets sick. Dripping noses, coughing, ugh. Miserable to feel, maybe more miserable to be around, especially for the person who's all about, "Oh, I'm okay, I'll get better soon..." Please ...

At this very hour, minute and second, it's November 11th, 2011. Or, in its more abbreviated palindrome format, 11/11/11 11:11:11. I just thought that in case you didn't know, maybe you'd like to, I don't know...take a moment to reflect on time, the universe, or even the meaning of life.

Oh, wait, it's gone. Sorry, you already missed it. Guess you'll have to wait until either 11:11:11 PM tonight or next year at 12/12/12 12:12:12 to ponder imponderables. At least we'll always have this.
